Virtually, for now

Hello,

our Sunday services and various activities are still all virtual as of today. The temple board is constantly evaluating the situation when and how to reopen the temple physically -- what is the best way to keep our Sangha healthy and safe.

We do have some people coming in with masks and keeping distances -- people who keep our temple going! Reverend Sugahara with his weekly and daily services!! We have flower toban who arranges beautiful fresh flowers in our onaijin every week. We have people maintaining the library and database. We have book keeping people, and office people. We have Dharma School teachers who are preparing the classrooms ready once the temple reopens physically. We have people cleaning up the yard. We have people maintaining the building. When we were renovating downstairs (new floorings, yay!) people came in to move boxes and furniture.

And while we cannot gather in a group physically yet, this past year let us explore how to connect virtually -- through things like YouTube live chat and Zoom. We have very active participation from Sangha with Dharma Exchange, Dharma School (which will resume in September!), OBWA meetings and virtual Happy Hour.

We cannot wait for the temple to open physically, but while we wait, let us connect virtually.

Please stay healthy and connected!
