OBT Food Drive

for November and December , 2025.  

Please consider bringing non perishable food when you come to the temple in November and December.  We will be taking them to Oregon Food Bank. 

Please check below for the food guidance.

In general, the items we try to always have available for people are:

  • High protein items, like:

    • Peanut butter

    • Canned or pouched meats (fish, chicken, etc)

    • Beans (canned or dry)

  • Pantry staples, like:

    • Pastas

    • Rice

    • Canned fruit

    • Canned vegetables

    • Flour

    • Masa

    • Sugar

    • Cooking oil

    • Cereals

    • Baking mixes

    • Ground coffee

  • Also very useful:

    • Spices

    • Baby foods and formula (these must have at least 3 months before they expire)

    • Pet foods (pets are part of the family, too!)

    • Bottled water

Please remember that all items must be unopened.

 

For food safety reasons Oregon Food Bank cannot accept:

  • Refrigerated items

  • Frozen items

  • Homemade items (jams, jellies, preserves, baked items, etc.)

  • Bread products
