November at OBT: Holiday Crafts, Community & Giving Thanks! 🍂🙏
November is here, and the holiday season is just around the corner! There’s plenty happening at Oregon Buddhist Temple this month, including one of our favorite annual traditions: the OBT Holiday Craft Fair!
🛍️ Save the Date: OBT Holiday Craft Fair – Saturday, November 14
Join us for the 11th Annual OBT Holiday Craft Fair, from 9 AM to 3 PM at the temple! We’ll welcome a wonderful variety of talented artists and vendors, with handmade clothing, ornaments, jewelry, miso products, paintings, ceramics, hand-woven baskets, and unique stocking stuffers. There will be something for everyone and every budget!
Be sure to stop by the kitchen for tasty food throughout the day, check out the Dharma School bake sale, and arrive early: the first 30 people through the door will receive a discount coupon from the kitchen. Bring your friends and family and get a head start on holiday shopping while supporting our temple community!
🍡 Mochitsuki Is Coming – December 13!
It’s also time to start thinking about another beloved OBT tradition: Mochitsuki! Our annual mochi celebration is coming up on December 13, and we’re inviting everyone to get involved. Please place your mochi orders and consider signing up to volunteer. Your support helps make this special community tradition possible!
🙏 A Little More from November
This month, Rev. Vonn Magnin encourages us to look for common ground with our neighbors and do our part to bring more peace into the world. We’ll also gather for our annual Eitaikyo Service on November 22, honoring those who helped share the Dharma across generations.
Whether you’re shopping at the Craft Fair, ordering mochi, volunteering, or joining us for Sunday service, there are so many ways to connect with the OBT community this fall.
We hope to see you at the temple soon! đź’›
