On Friday, January 23rd at 7pm, we are very happy to welcome back Hiroya Tsukamoto for a live concert "A Journey Through Strings and Stories" at the temple. Hiroya's music transports you to the world where it is nostalgic, dreamlike and exciting all at the same time. Do come for an evening of beautiful magical music!
Sunday, January 18th is our Shotsuki Hoyo Monthly Memorial Service, led by Rev. Ron Kobata. If you wish to burn incense in honor of your loved ones who have passed away in the month of January, this is the time to come to the temple!
Sunday, January 25th is Hoonko Special Service with Rev. Tadao Koyama. Please join us at 10am, for this special service to reflect on and appreciate the life and teachings of our founder, Shinran Shonin.
Seattle Betsuin is hosting 78th (!!!!!) NW District Convention from February 13 to 15. This is always a very fun and productive event where you get to meet people and ministers from other temples! Convention theme is Renewal:Jodo Shinshu for Today, and keynote speaker is Rev. Melissa Opel (Buddhist Church of San Francisco).
