On Sunday, January 25th Hoonko Spceial Service was held at Oregon Buddhist Temple. Our supervising minister, Rev. Tadao Koyama conducted the service.

We chanted Shoshinge, and sang Hoonko no Uta.

Rev. Koyama's talk to the Dharma School Students reminded them to appreciate our daily lives, and do not take them for granted. His talk to the grown ups was about having compassion, and also to look at yourself before making rash decisions on others.

After the service, Rev. Koyama conducted the installation ceremony of the OBT Board, OBWA officers, and Dharma school teachers.

Here are the people leading OBT for the year of 2026!!

We are so grateful to have them,

and we are grateful to have Rev. Koyama as our supervising minister!
