Hello, we hope you are enjoying a lovely summer.
On Sunday, July 6th, we were very fortunate to welcome Rev. Katsuya Kusunoki, the Rinban of Seattle Betsuin to share a Dharma message at the temple.

Thank you, Rev. Kusunoki for sharing your meaningful and positive Dharma message with us!!

Thank you also to Rev. Koyama who conducted the service, shared children's Dharma talk, and also for leading a fun discussion during Dharma Exchange after the service.

Sunday, July 20th is our Hatsubon Service and Shotsuki Hoyo Monthly Memorial Service, to be conducted by Rev. Ron Kobata. There will be a short Nokotsudo Service to follow.

We are now in full throttle to prepare for our Obon Festival (Saturday, August 2nd)!!
Our Dance Practices will start on Monday, July 14th. Please check our calendar for details. Chris Sensei, our amazing Obon Dance teacher has been super busy creating tutoring videos and description of historical details of the dances we will be dancing at the Obon Fest. Please check them out at :
We have a very fun list of dances this year!
During Dance practices, there will be Kimono Sale. So come check them out! There will be kimonos and yukatas for various age groups, kimono accessories, and happi coats!!

Would you like to participate in our Obon Festival - work together with the sangha and community members?
Please check out the list of volunteering positions we are looking for at Sign Up Genius!!
We would be very very very grateful if you can sign up for a shift !!
July 25th is the deadline to order the Obon Lanterns.
Lanterns with your loved ones' name, swinging against the summer sky is a very special and meaningful sight. Order the lanterns to be hung, and dance under them at the Obon Festival!
