How has your summer been so far? We hope you have been staying safe and healthy.
The temple building still remains closed at this time, to keep our Sangha safe, and the board is constantly evaluating the current situation to decide on what the next steps will be for the temple.
There are a few fun events coming up at the temple virtually, as well as our online services (mornings and Sundays!) and lectures.
Our Virtual Obon Festival will be on Saturday, August 1st! The Obon chairs are working hard to have Obon online -- via Zoom and YouTube. There will be an Obon service by Rev.Yuki in the morning, one hour tribute to Obon by Jenna on KBOO FM in the afternoon, and the Obon Dance led by Chris Sensei in the evening! Please check back on out Obon page as more information will be shared. You can start practicing the dances with the videos that Chris Sensei has made!
It would be very different from our past Obon festivals, but we will be able to be together in the spirit of Obon festival via Zoom.

Benefit Concert for Oregon Buddhist Temple is in the plan right now -- that will also be virtual, but it looks like it is going to be a fun time with talented musicians! Check back on our website or Facebook pages for more details to come!
